We spent the past five days in Williamsburg, VA and stayed at the Anvil Campground. Pretty small campground, but very nice and clean. We are still learning so much about RVs. The staff was so nice, giving us a bigger space to park and helping us out with the hook ups.
When we arrived that night, we discovered that one of the brand new tires we had bought the previous day was flat! A big ol' nail went right through it. That poor tire lasted a day!
The girls and I spent a day in Colonial Williamsburg and enjoyed the time warp back to colonial times.
The highlights for me were the Hope Plantation, a glimpse into the slave quarters during the big ball, and hearing George Washington speak to us as fellow colonists.
Walking the streets with horse and buggies and all the people dressed in colonial wear was very cool and made us feel like we needed to go change:)
We drove the Colonial Parkway to Jamestown one afternoon and saw lots of wildlife and a beautiful sunset.
One of the nights we went to dinner with my dad's cousin (my second cousin) Karen and her husband Rick. It was great to see them and catch up.
