Spanish Moss and Sudoku

We have had a nice week in Savannah, GA.

It is a very cute "little-big" city.  It has the feel of being alive with activity and beautiful squares/parks all throughout the historic area of the city.  I loved the Spanish Moss on all of the trees and the beautiful green spaces.

We stayed at Skidaway Island State Park and has a pull through site:). Yahoo!!!  There was a nice crowd of campers and the park was very nice.  We spent a day exploring the Nature Interpretive Center learning about the Giant Sloths that once lived in the area and hiking a trail out into the sloughs.  There were several great biking trails and observation towers.

In Savannah we took advantage of the free DOT bus and for a lift to Forsythe Park.  From there we walked through the city, down towards the river.  We enjoyed chocolates near the riverside, delicious Thai pizza, and saw the Waving Girl on Savannah,

We made some great friends at the park and enjoyed a late "adult only" night around the fire. Simone and Luis are fellow full time travelers and were so much fun to get to know.  We are looking forward to seeing them when our paths cross again.

We spent a day out on Tybee (Tie-B) Island and visited Fort Pulaski.  That was a lot of fun. We visited the light house there on the island and spent some time out on the beach.  While we were at Fort Pulaski we purchased our National Parks Family Pass.  We are planning to put it to good use.
