Lake Louisa and the Magic Kingdom

We planned our time at this particular state park because our good friends the LaPointes were going to be in Orlando.  We met them for their last day at the Magic Kingdom and it was so great to see them!

It was a great time of year for Disney because it the weather was cool and the lines were short.  I think the longest line all day was 30 minutes.

The kids had a blast with their friends.

The big kids too :)
We couldn't keep Bob off the carousel
We rode all our favorites, plus a few extra and caught as many shows as we could.

We closed the place down and the girls were passed out before we got home.  We had a wild boar sighting on our way into the park, but weren't quick enough to get a photo.

There wasn't too much exploring at Lake Louisa.  The trails were pretty far from the campgrounds and we really needed some down time and to catch up on some essentials......laundry and school work.

We had a night between campgrounds where we didn't have reservations and ranger let us stay in their overflow parking area.  Besides not having electricity or water it was pretty great being right next to the lake, totally quiet with no neighbors.  We could even see Disney's fireworks out in the distance over the lake.

A friend of Diego's from childhood lives in Orlando and we spent an evening with her and her family.
