A Place Where Everyone Can Spell Diego

We left Long Beach and drove south.  Diego has family in this area too, so we were planning a little reunion.
We camped at Guajome Regional Park in Oceanside, CA.  The campground was just okay.

We spent a couple of days in San Diego.  We drove by Balboa Park to see things.  Then to Seaport Village to get some work done.  The weather was just beautiful and there was a Starbucks right next to the village.  We all got a little work done and then the girls all headed down to the park by the water.

Lots of trees to climb and places to explore.  That night we had another beautiful sunset on the water there.





Another day in San Diego we checked out Old Town and out to Mission Beach.

We had a nice meal with Tio Lucho and Tia Teresa at their house one afternoon.



It was great to get to know them better.  I have met them on several occassions in Peru, but there are always so many people that I have never had the chance to sit down and talk with them.

Diego's mom and dad flew in from Las Vegas to meet us and have a little reunion with papi's side of the family.



We all went to the beach together one day and had a delicious Peruvian meal.

Had the cousins over to the campground at night and had a campfire and marshmallows.



Our last day all together we had a cookout at Diego's cousin, Ricardo's house.  The weather was great and we sat outside and visited.  Had lots of great food and fun times together.

San Diego was a beautiful place.  Weather was great too.  Lots of traffic.
