Our drive from Quebec down into Maine was very nice. Lots of farm land and little towns to pass through. We stopped by SAQ, Canadian liquor store to stock up on some things we discovered while visiting. A whiskey made with maple syrup and a wine made with pear. Both were delicious and I'm a tough sell.
We had the most enjoyable border crossing ever when we came through at Sandy Bay Township. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere and then all of a sudden a border patrol station. We had a girl and she was very nice. Asked her questions and then chatted with us a little bit. It doesn't have to be such a "jerky" experience after all.

We camped that night about an hour outside of Portland, ME at Bradbury Mountain SP. Went through Portland the next day and found a coffee shop to settle into.
Dinner plans were with my Auntie Claire, my mom's cousin Candy and family. It was great to see them again. The last time we were there was in 2014 before we knew we would be travelling and I remembered saying to Candy that we would really love to travel all around if we could. And now here we are. My auntie is 95 and looks so good.

From Old Orchard Beach we spent some time in Portsmouth, NH and then towards Brattleboro, VT. Some friends that we had met in our travels had relocated to that area and had bought a bunch of land outside of town. Very pretty.

Girls and Max |
The family of our friends owns the local bead shop in Brattleboro, so we spent some time there and explored their super cool bead museum from cultures all around the world and from very early civilizations.

The girls made a piece of jewelry at the shop. |

Drove down to Cape Cod are and camped at Scusset Beach State Reservation in Sandwich, MA. We were close to Plimoth Plantation and spent our Sunday experiencing life for some of the first settlers.

Learning about water power and how to make it most efficient. |
On our way south we made a stop in northern Jersey to visit yet another friend of Diego's from childhood......Percy and his wife Olivia.
That puts us to our current location..............back in Haddonfield, where it all began. We arrived a few days ago and are visiting friends and all of our old hangouts. Gonna hang a few weeks while we organize ourselves. So cool to come full circle.
