Kicked out of Europe the Day After We Arrived.

We spent about a month in New Jersey visiting and preparing for our next step.  The Airbnb and camping scene was almost non-existent in our old parts of Jersey.   So, we took up the offer to stay with friends.......I mean FRIENDS.  Anyone who welcomes an entire family to crash in their place for that long is a special group.  I think we're pretty easy, but still that's a long time to be in your space.  Thank you, Reishers!!!
We had a few days in Philly, beach outings, seeing friends, adult-only poker night, etc.  It was a great visit and we were very grateful for the time to prepare.

Diego really wanted to head over to Europe..... I wasn't so sure our group was up for it.....turns out the girls were excited about the idea.  Did our research about internet and our budget realities....everything checked out so we bought our tickets and made arrangements for our truck and camper to be stored while away.

Our truck and camper's home for a few months.

We arrived in London on the 21st and everything has been going really well.  We have an Airbnb apartment in Dulwich Village and it's a very cute and walking friendly community.

In Dulwich Village
We have a grocery store, cafes, restaurants, library, etc. all within a walk.  We are south of London and it takes about 45 minutes to get into the city by bus and tube.  The public transportation has been awesome. Very clean and user friendly.

Since here we have spent some days in the village where we are staying and over the weekend most of our time was in downtown London.

Visited Buckingham Palace and just happened to arrive during the changing of the guards.

Spent some time at Big Ben amidst peaceful protesting against the Brexit vote to leave the EU.

Took a Harry Potter walking tour to see where some of the inspiration for locations in the book came from and also where some of the city was shut down for filming.  Had our pictures taken at King's Cross Station on Platform 9 3/4.  Wizard-like things were going on in London.

Harry Potter wands have been bought.

I had my birthday while we were in London and we had a nice breakfast out at a little bakery.  Toasted sourdough with goat cheese, spinach, mushrooms, and a fried egg on top......with tea of course.  We left with a bag full of baked treats.  It was a very British birthday.

We have rented a micro car for the rest of our time in England and are off to Breighton/York.

Bye to London for a few weeks.
